RECOVERY ALERT NAPLES

The mandatory midnight to 6 a.m. curfew remains in effect tonight in unincorporated Collier County, but only for areas that are west of U.S. 41 as well as areas that are south of U.S. 41.

This situation is carefully evaluated regularly and the curfew will end as soon as it is safe to do so. The purpose of the curfew is to protect the safety of you and your property as you recover from the effects of Hurricane Ian.

The curfew does not apply to emergency responders, employees at health-care facilities, critical staff for businesses that provide essential services, or those seeking medical assistance. Violation of the curfew is a second-degree misdemeanor.

Our deputies are compassionate and will enforce this with great sensitivity to our residents’ and business owners’ situations. Don’t panic about this-it’s about keeping criminals out of areas they have no business being in right now.

This is Tin City during Ian. Like many of our neighboring businesses the storm was devastating to this Naples destination and historic location. In the past 2 days we have managed to make substantial headway with cleanup thanks to the loyalty of our tenants and staff.
