Most people who know me know that I make all kinds of things...including soap and beauty products. Why did I start doing it? Because I love it. I actually started doing it when I was a young, broke housewife unable to afford to actually buy gifts for everyone on my list. (Im no longer young, lol, but...) I wanted to give them something; but I also wanted it to be beautiful...a gift I would like to recieve. So got creative. I studied. I learned. I tried and failed. Somewhere along the line, I decided to turn it into a business; to do what I loved and make people happy. The problem is...literally everybody is trying to sell you something these days; and they go to great lengths to do it. Every single day, I have to wade through mountains of sales spam in my inbox from people trying to entice me to buy this or that. Sure, I like to be informed of sales...and yes, I like to know who has what, but beyond that, it's just exhausting. It's manipulative, and I dont want my customers to feel that way. And its a game that, as a handcrafter, I know with absolute certainty I can literally never win. I would love to make more sales; but honestly, I feel as if people are going to get what they want and need. Beyond that, it's just noise, hype and aggravation that doesn't benefit anyone, except maybe the marketing platforms! Certainly not the customer, who winds up paying for all that! If the people who buy from me once come back and buy again, I have a customer; and I cherish my customers. So, if you only see the occasional post from me or get the occasional newsletter, now you know! This "business" is a real person, and my customers are more than numbers on a balance sheet!
