Did you know that our Careers in Education 2 students participate in internships in elementary classrooms, where they work alongside certified teachers and engage directly with young learners. Through these experiences, students observe effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques while also supporting students in various grade levels and environments.
Twice each year, students take part in a full-day elementary classroom experience where they implement lesson plans they have personally designed and created.
The photos displayed capture our students actively engaging with elementary students in a variety of meaningful ways, including assisting with math, reading, and writing activities, as well as leading morning meetings and classroom discussions. These experiences provide valuable hands-on opportunities that help prepare future educators for careers in teaching and education.
