The numbers of pets needing help is growing each day! Each "unexpected" litter hurts those waiting in shelters! The humane solution to shelter overcrowding is to spay/neuter your pets prior to the "unexpected" litter which is to be expected!

UPDATE ON THE HUSKY named Sky: Placement secured.

We have been receiving complaints about this Husky. Sky got picked up earlier today but she still needs a rescue. DOB: 2019

“ Allegedly”, Mark Ring, the ACO, was going to leave this dog with the owners. He allegedly said the shelter was adequate, even though the dog couldn’t access the crappy “shelter” ( water inside) because her lead is too short.

A Good Samaritan who witnessed this whole ordeal couldn’t stand the thought of this dog being out in the rain all day, so she asked the owners to surrender the dog to her. The owner was happy to do it and said they didn’t want the dog.

The dog still has nowhere to go. The Good Samaritan who picked her up is leaving Connecticut on Saturday the 11th. This dog needs placement before then. Not fixed, not UTD.

This is one of the reasons why so many owners end up dumping, or surrendering their pet/s.
One of our cats went into congestive heart failure, and this is the estimate for her ER care for 2 or 3 days ( before rescue discount). The prognosis is very poor, there’s no cure, we’re absolutely devastated.
This baby is only 12 months old. 💔
