Hello Camp SOAR! My name is Kaylyn Guerrieri, and I am a second grade counselor here at camp! I am also honored to announce that I will be the director of Camp Soars’ first ever musical-SOARIN! This will be an original script written by myself and will include some fun popular hits as musical numbers! However, the show cannot happen without actors! If you are a camper and are interested in auditioning, auditions will be held next Wednesday during camp! Rehearsals will take place next Thursday, Friday, and the following week with a show happening on Thursday, July 23 at 9:15! The show will be performed for all of camp and will be broadcast online for all to view! If you are interested in auditioning, read below.

Audition Information
Listed below are the named roles for the show with short character descriptions! If you simply want to be in an ensemble for the show, you do not need to audition! Everyone will get to be involved! However, if you would like a chance at being one of our named characters, please come prepared with a 30-second song of your choice sung acapella (without music). Also, please come with a 30-second monologue! If you need help finding one, a great way to search is to google “short monologues for kids.” We are so excited to see your talent!

Team feature Friday! Meet the 4th grade group:

Luke: Hello, my name is Luke Ament. This is my 4th year here at camp soar and 2nd year with 4th grade. I am going into my junior year at Marywood University and I major in aviation and business. My favorite thing about camp soar is providing the kids with a memorable summer camp experience.

Brook: Hi I’m Brook! This is my first year at Camp and I have loved it so far! I am about to be a senior at East Stroudsburg University and I’m majoring in Early Childhood Education. It has been so much fun getting to know these kids, having fun, and coming to camp everyday :)

Emma: Hi everyone I’m Emma! This is my third year at camp soar! I’m heading into my junior year at James Madison University and I’m majoring in Health Service Administration with a minor in Business. I absolutely love working at camp soar I was with 3rd grade last year and it has been awesome getting to move up with this great group of kids and continue connections I made with the kids last year and make new ones this year!

Harleen: Hi I’m Harleen and this is my fifth year at Camp Soar. I am going into my senior year of college at East Stroudsburg University. I am so excited to see what the last few weeks of camp will look like!

Finn: Hi I’m Finn and this is my 6th year at Canp SOAR. I am going into my freshman year of college at the University of Scranton to study Biology. Camp SOAR is always so fun and always something to look forward to.

Ryan: Hi guys, my name is Ryan. I have been with camp soar ever since I was going to 5th grade as a camper. I do traffic at the 2-3 intersection. This year I am so excited to be able to work with 4th grade. My favorite part about camp is seeing how much each kid grows throughout the years

Carli: Hi I’m Carli! I’ll be a senior in high school in the fall. This is my 5th year at Camp Soar and I cannot believe how fast the weeks go!! It’s truly the most joyful & exciting experience and I truly love seeing the kids smiling, laughing, and enjoying their summer.
