Most of us have spent our entire lives around horses. We know when they’re thriving, when they’re sore, when they’re hungry, when they’re uncomfortable, and when they just need to be left alone.

There’s nothing wrong with learning new things, but don’t let every opinion on the internet convince you that you’ve forgotten how to care for your horse.

Listen to your vet. Trust your experience. Pay attention to the horse in front of you—not every keyboard cowboy with a Wi-Fi connection.

Sometimes the best horseman in the arena is the one who spends more time watching their horse than scrolling their phone.
