What’s your most valuable asset?
For many people, it’s not their home, investment portfolio, or business. It’s their ability to earn an income over their lifetime.
Your future earning potential is what funds your lifestyle, supports your family, builds your retirement savings, and helps you achieve long-term financial goals. Yet it’s one of the most overlooked areas of financial protection.
May is Disability Insurance Awareness Month, a timely reminder that protecting your income is a critical part of a sound financial plan.
Many people insure their home, car, and valuables, but forget to protect the paycheck that makes all of those things possible. An unexpected illness or injury can create financial stress far beyond medical expenses alone.
Disability insurance can help provide:
->- Income replacement during a medical leave
->- Protection for retirement and savings goals
->- Financial flexibility during recovery
->- Peace of mind for you and your family
Whether you are a business owner, physician, executive, young professional, or growing family, reviewing your disability coverage is an important part of a comprehensive financial strategy.
At Diamond Point Wealth Partners, we believe financial planning is about more than building wealth. It’s about protecting the future you are working so hard to create.
Clarity. Confidence. Commitment.

If something unexpected happened tomorrow, would your plan hold up?
Not a comfortable question, but an important one.
I have a lot of conversations with people who have done a great job saving, investing, and building wealth… but when it comes to estate planning, there is often a gap.
At the core, three simple documents carry a lot of weight:
->- A will
->- A durable power of attorney
->- An advance healthcare directive
->- Basic living trust (if applicable)
Without these, those decisions are left up to the state, not your family, and not your intentions.
Here is the part that surprises people even more.
Many have already done this work at some point. They met with an attorney, signed the documents, and checked the box. But that was 5, 10, sometimes 15+ years ago.
Life has changed since then.
->- Families have grown
->- Relationships have shifted
->- Financial situations have evolved
If your documents have not kept up, there is a good chance your plan no longer reflects what you actually want.
Estate planning is not about documents sitting in a drawer. It is about making sure the right people are in place, your wishes are clear, and your plan still works when it matters most.
At Diamond Point Wealth Partners, this is something we revisit regularly with our clients. We coordinate with their estate attorneys, review what is in place, and make sure everything remains aligned with their goals.
Because at the end of the day, a financial plan is not just about building wealth. It is about ensuring it is handled exactly as you intended.

As we approach the end of the year, it’s an opportune time to review and optimize your financial and tax strategies.
Here are some key considerations:
1. Tax-Advantaged Accounts: Contribute fully to retirement accounts, including any plans offered by your employer. If you’re self-employed, there are options for you, too.
2. Gifting: Take advantage of the $19,000 annual gift tax exclusion per individual and consider the pros and cons of educational gifting.
3. Charitable Contributions: A large chunk of charitable giving occurs in December. Do you have a charitable giving strategy?
4. Estate Management: Explore strategies that can put you in better control of your estate.
5. Investments: Review your money decisions to see if your investments are working hard for you.
6. Income Timing: Don’t forget to evaluate the timing of income, such as bonuses.
These strategies may help as you review your financial position.
For more insights, please reach out with specific concerns.
