The Seymour Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter. We are looking for individuals who are committed to public service, professionalism, teamwork, and continued training.

Salary & Benefits

💰 2026 First Class Firefighter Salary: $67,433
🏦 2026 Pension Base: $84,292.50
📈 Longevity Pay – 1% per year after your first year (up to 25%)
⭐ $1,500 Annual Incentive Pay beginning in Year 26
🏅 Certification Pay – Up to $2,500 annually
🎓 Continuing Education Opportunities
👕 $700 Annual Clothing Allowance
❤️ $500 Annual Health Incentive after your first year
🏖️ Vacation, Holiday, Sick & Personal Leave
⏰ Overtime paid after 212 hours in a 28-day work cycle

Minimum Qualifications

✔ 20 years of age, but not older than 39 years of age
✔ Indiana Certified Firefighter I & II
✔ Minimum Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification
✔ United States Citizen
