Animal lovers, this study is for cats of every age and breed!

The Stern Lab is looking for cats without previously diagnosed cardiovascular disease to join a heart health study. Participating cats will receive a FREE advanced cardiac evaluation valued at over $1,000, including a heart ultrasound, complete blood work , blood pressure measurement and blood tests for markers of heart disease (NT-proBNP).

Approximately 1 in 7 cats develop hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), and your cat's participation will help us advance our research into its causes and treatments!

✨Meet Dr. Meghan Dail! A graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Dail has dedicated her 16 year+ career exclusively to feline medicine. She is passionate about senior cat care, behavior, dentistry, and creating a stress-free experience for every patient. As a Fear Free Elite Level Certified Professional, she is committed to helping cats feel comfortable and cared for during every visit.

When she's not caring for cats at the hospital, Dr. Dail enjoys spending time with her husband, CJ, and their three cats—Freddy, Hamilton, and Peggy!

✨We're proud to spotlight Dr. Carole Winsley! A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Winsley brings 20+years of veterinary experience and a deep love for feline medicine. Her compassionate approach and commitment to personalized care help ensure every cat—and their family—feels welcomed, supported, and understood.

At home, Dr. Winsley's household is always bustling, currently including four cats and two dogs and her husband. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy embracing the coastal lifestyle of Eastern North Carolina and all the adventures that come with living near the water.
