𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Our relief supplies drive will end this Friday, October 11. If you plan to donate, please drop off your items this week so we can pack them & plan a trip to the western part of our state.

City Hall, 300 Po***ck St: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Farmer's Market, 421 S. Front St: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
West NB Recreation Center, 1225 Pine Tree Dr: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pleasant Hill Community Center, 424 NC 55 Hwy: Monday-Friday 4pm-6pm

We will also collect remaining supplies at our Mumfest booth this Saturday & Sunday right outside of City Hall. Thank you to the many people & organizations who have dropped off supplies for those in need!

SEPTEMBER 30: The City is collecting relief supplies for victims of Tropical Storm Helene in the western part of our state. We have five drop off sites across the city. 🏠 Shelter is Essential: Dog houses are not insulated
PER COUNTY ORDINANCE ⏬️
🔺️Animals living outside must have adequate shelter to protect them from the elements and weather at all times
🔺️Dog houses must have a sufficient quantity of bedding such as Straw/Cedar shavings etc. No blankets they will freeze in cold temperatures

HELPFUL TIPS ⏬️
🔺️Provide Extra Nutrition: Increase their food supply to help generate more body heat.
IF YOU NEED EXTRA FOOD CALL US!
🔥 **Avoid Ice Melts:** Be cautious with ice melts and antifreeze. Choose pet-safe alternatives, as these chemicals can be harmful if ingested.
🔺️Know Their Limits: Different animals tolerate cold differently. Most animals in warm regions such as ours are not climatized for a cold snap

Watch for signs of discomfort or distress such as shivering, lethargy, or seeking warm places. Seek veterinary attention if needed.

Remember the Craven County APS team will come to visit you if we see your animal outside without these requirements
