The SkillsUSA Championships is the premier showcase of America’s most highly skilled career and technical education students and one of the largest hands-on workforce development events in the world. Held in conjunction with SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference each June, this prestigious competition brings together more than 6,800 state champions from across the United States to compete in 115 skilled and leadership events.

Jhovanna and Anthony have demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence in their respective fields. We are proud to see them take their skills to the national stage and represent E.C. Goodwin Technical High School, Connecticut, and the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System.

✨ Beauty Beyond the Chair ✨

E.C. Goodwin’s Junior Hairdressing students recently had the privilege of providing spa services for clients from Euro-American Homecare, and the experience was truly meaningful for everyone involved. 🧡🖤

Although some students felt nervous at first, those feelings quickly turned into confidence as warm conversations and genuine connections formed throughout the day. The kindness of the clients helped our students learn the true value of patience, compassion, and respectful care.

This experience reminded our students that their work goes far beyond beauty services — they have the power to brighten someone’s day, boost confidence, and help others feel valued and beautiful. ✨

A special thank you to Grace Mongeau, Marketing and Operations Coordinator, for her support in making this event possible, and to the caregivers whose patience and dedication created such a calm and welcoming environment for all.

We are grateful for this partnership with Euro-American Homecare and look forward to creating even more meaningful experiences together in the future. 🤝

SkillsUSA National Signing Day is a nationwide celebration recognizing the next generation of skilled professionals who will continue building and strengthening America’s future. From workforce opportunities to continued CTE education, these students are proving that skilled trades and technical careers are essential, respected, and in demand.

We are incredibly proud of each student for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Thank you to our families, business partners, educators, and community members who came together to support and celebrate this important milestone.
