*** Scam Calls and Texts Targeting First Choice Members ***

First Choice has been made aware of a scam currently targeting some of our members.

The scammer may call or text claiming to be from First Choice. They may say that charges from Walmart or another retailer have been blocked on your account. They may also tell a longer story involving an employee being fired or may instruct you to withdraw your cash, move your money, or open a new account somewhere else.

⚠ This is a scam. ⚠

In some cases, the caller ID may appear to show a First Choice phone number. This is called caller ID spoofing, and scammers use it to make a call look legitimate.

Please remember:

First Choice will never ask you to withdraw cash, transfer your money, or open a new account at another financial institution.

First Choice will never ask for your online banking password, debit card PIN, full account number, Social Security number, or one-time security code by phone or text.

If you receive a suspicious call or text:

👉 Hang up immediately.
👉 Do not press buttons.
👉 Do not reply to the text.
👉 Do not share personal, account, card, or login information.
👉 Call First Choice directly using one of our official branch numbers.

Please do not panic. There is no reason to come to a branch to withdraw your funds because of one of these calls. There is no reason to transfer your money or open another account elsewhere.
