28 years ago, Sharon Lovett Graff, Diane Pacl, and I created the first ever Westville Village Annual ArtWalk Festival. The weather deities have smiled ad given us a perfect day to celebrate community, creativity, and possibility. Bobbi Wilson, 9, took it upon herself to start a one-girl extermination campaign to hunt for the invasive spotted lanternflies that were ravaging her New Jersey neighborhood last summer. A neighbor reported her to the police, reflecting the larger dialogue on racial profiling and the treatment of Black children across the U.S. Wilson's efforts to eradicate the bugs has been widely praised, landing her collection in the archives of the Yale Peabody Museum.
