As a women’s health practitioner, I am deeply saddened and concerned by the SCOTUS decision due to the profound impact on women’s reproductive health, safety, autonomy, and gender equity. I am in alignment with the APTA, ACOG, AUGS, AMA, WHO, AUA, NPWH, and numerous other organizations that have condemned the ruling. Access to abortion is a public health issue and decisions on reproductive healthcare should be made between patients and their medical providers.

Ironically, my first day to start working on new women’s health programs for my innovation award was the same day as the ruling. We have a lot of work to do…
