This tip is from a recent repair we completed for a very common problem. The skimmers on this pool were not getting good suction if at all, which is a very common problem when pools have been plumbed with PVC flex tubing. It is very typical for the skimmer lines to kink underground or collapse. On this pool the skimmers both pulled away from the main shell due to lack of rebar tying in the main shell. We replaced these skimmers with new ones guaranteed to last for many decades. Next we plumbed them down an extra 16 inches to prevent any remaining water from cracking above the frostline.

GPS Tip of the day:

Accidents happen, a very common one is getting your cellular devices wet. Even worse dropping your phone directly into a pool like our technicians unfortunately occasionally do. The minute your phone gets wet rip out the battery and SIM card or Micro SD and throw everything Into a bag filled with rice. Make sure the bag is sealed and the rice will suck the moisture out of your device. Wait at least a day or two to make sure all moisture is extracted so there is no risk of frying any circuits. This tip has helped our pool staff multiple times and it will work for you too.
