Applepuncture is pleased to welcome Katie Spata to the practice beginning in June.

Katie will be offering treatments during Lu’s maternity leave coverage, with availability beginning the first week of June. Her presence is calm, thoughtful, and deeply aligned with the restorative approach to care we value here.

Transitions within a practice are meaningful, and I feel grateful to welcome someone whose approach reflects the level of attentiveness and integrity that patients have come to expect from Applepuncture.

We’re excited for you to meet her.

Sleeeeeep 💤💤 💤

There’s real relief here. In a comprehensive review of many clinical trials, acupuncture helped adults sleep longer—about 45 extra minutes a night on average—and noticeably improved their sleep quality (Marcuzzi et al., 2023).

How? It works by quieting your stress circuits and supporting melatonin’s natural rise, so your brain gets the clear message: it’s safe to drift off and stay asleep.

Come take a nap at Applepuncture. 💤🧡 We’ll help you get your nighttime restorative sleep back on track.

You can reach us at +1-215-693-2109 or explore your options at https://www.applepuncture.com. More rest, more you.

The Web Beneath the Skin

There’s a growing conversation in medicine right now about something called the interstitium. It’s the network of fluid-filled connective tissue that exists throughout the body.

For a long time, this tissue was thought to be passive. Now, researchers are beginning to understand it as dynamic and involved in communication, regulation, and the movement of fluid and information throughout the body.

The body is not a collection of separate parts. It’s a living system of relationships. This is why acupuncture doesn’t just treat a symptom. It looks at patterns, dynamic relationships, relativity, and coherence.

Science is still catching up to this way of thinking, but it’s moving in that direction. It’s exciting!
