The three most GenX things about me. 1: Getting stuck in the top of a tree miles from my house and spending three hours talking myself down before it got dark. 2: Discovering caches of p**n mags while hiking through the reservoir miles from my house. 3: My dad installing a ship’s bell on the back deck to let me know when dinner was ready when I was miles from my house.

A friendly reminder to my fellow institutional designers: We can get wrapped up in a huge project and pat ourselves on the back when it's finally done, but those files still have to head to the print shop, that is most likely working their ass off keeping up with requests from every other department. So remember to give them the respect of a proper heads up a week or two prior to sending it off.
