Just got some new hot tools in and can't wait to use them on our clients! 💇‍♀️

Just kidding! These amazing curling irons belonged to a client's mother and we just had to share them with everyone. Tools like this date back to early- to mid-1900s and were typically heated in a hearth, gas stove, or in a separate tabletop heater called a Marcel stove. Because they lack temperature controls, stylists and users had to be careful not to scorch hair, usually testing the iron on a piece of paper to see if it would burn. It definitely makes us appreciate the hot tools we use today!👍
