Reflections Photography

Today, I had the opportunity to photograph the Pace Center for Girls, Pasco Community Breakfast. I expected to see lots of familiar faces and I expected to get to chat with people while photographing them. What I didn't expect was the overwhelming emotion I would feel during the speeches. It's no secret that I love to mentor young people and I love programs that empower girls and women, but WOW. I was moved to my core. This breakfast stirred something inside me. I cannot see how anyone can walk away from this event and not want to help them in some way.

With that said, I started the 20/20 Project for Women this year with the intent to showcase women in the area that faced unfathomable struggles growing up and have found a way to succeed in life. The project ends with a magazine showcasing them and a gallery opening to display their canvas and story. The money raised from that gallery opening, every penny of it, will be donated to the Pace Center for Girls, Pasco. Reflections Photography is fully supportive of this organization and what they do for young women. Belong. Build. Bloom.
