On my last flight, I came across a baby left alone in the business class section, with a note placed beside it.

The journey had been smooth, and I had just finished seeing off the last passenger when a sudden cry pierced the quiet cabin. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but then the sound came again—louder this time.

My heart pounded as I hurried toward the noise. When I finally arrived, the sight before me made my breath catch—a tiny baby, abandoned and wailing. The scene was heartbreaking.

Gently, I knelt beside him. “Where’s your mother, little one?” I murmured, reaching out. That’s when I spotted a neatly folded note. With trembling hands, I unfolded it and read:

“Please don’t try to find me. I can’t give him the life he deserves. Take him in, love him as your own. If you can, name him Matthew Harris—that’s the name I chose for him. Thank you.”
