The UTLO has continued to have meetings, both in person and via conference calls, with the MTA. Mario Bucceri, UTLO President and the UTLO attorney met with the MTA's Chief Negotiator and the MTAs Chief Labor and Employee Relations Officer yesterday. UTLO was told that the financial analysis the MTA was waiting for has been completed and that the MTA continues to have internal discussion about our proposals. UTLO was also told that we are to expect a firm offer sheet by the end of the week. We will provide additional information after that occurs.

The current negotiations mood/energy is positive as we negotiate important issues like General Wage Increase, Comp Time reform, and Medical costs.
Next scheduled negotiations meeting is 08 FEB 2024. Before then, our meetings include: HR- Medical Benefits cost options, Labor Relations- Managerial discipline issues
We thank you for your patience as we ensure leadership understands the issues facing Managers at MTA. We are creating positive change for Managers' work/life balance. As a reminder, our current contract expired 31 DEC 2021, and we are negotiating pay and benefits from that date to the present. Have a safe weekend.
