Those babies I helped sleep through the night? They’re now 8, 10, 12 years old. And they’ve outgrown their pajamas. 🥹
When I started as a sleep consultant, I was mostly focused on babies and toddlers. But as my experience grew — and my own children did too — I quickly noticed that sleep challenges don’t stop at the baby stage. Families of older kids struggle just as much.
And honestly? The stakes get higher. Think about being 7 years old and trying to learn math on little sleep.
I launched Rockin’Blinks knowing I wanted to support families all the way through childhood.
So when those first little ones started outgrowing our pajamas, I knew it was time for the brand to grow with them.

Honestly, I’m not usually comfortable on video and I wish I could say building a brand comes easy to me, but it doesn’t. Finding the time for everything it takes to run a small business is overwhelming.
But today, I got together with my friend Javiera Varas to create content and style the new Rockin’Blinks collection with her amazing baby alpaca designs.
In between the “business” challenges, it’s the sessions with families struggling with sleep that remind me why I started this little thing in the first place. 🤍

I watched them make breakfast this morning…
and yes, it was slower. Messier. Not exactly efficient 😅
A few months ago, I probably would’ve stepped in.
“Let me help.” “Careful.” “I’ll do it.”
But I didn’t.
And it reminded me of something I see all the time with sleep:
The hardest part of change… is usually us.
New routines. New boundaries.
We worry it’s too much for them.
We question if they’re ready.
But children are so much more capable than we give them credit for.
They don’t need us to do it for them.
They need us to lead… and then trust them through it.
Yes, there might be some frustration.
Some pushback. A little struggle.
That’s not failure. That’s learning.
And more often than not… they rise to it.
✨ Sometimes the real shift isn’t in our children. It’s in us.
