We at CAFE Prep would like to offer our sincerest apologies for the delay in communications. We have finally secured our kitchen and classroom spaces and have reopened admissions!

After completion of the form we will contact you to schedule a pre-test and interview. Please keep in mind, this course is an in-person commitment that is 12-weeks in length beginning September 27th, Mondays to Thursdays from 10AM to 2PM. Classes will be held at the Dempsey Center at 127 W 127th Street.

In spite of our semester starting on February 15th, we are continuing to accept applicants on a rolling basis! It is not too late to apply, and we hope to offer our program to as many eligible New Yorkers as possible. Our program is limited to those preparing for their GED, preparing to attend college, or immigrants who would like to learn english. It is likewise limited to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary arts.

Our program is completely free of charge; we provide all ingredients and supplies. All classes occur online via Zoom, in accordance with COVID safety protocols. A computer or smartphone with a reliable internet connection is required.

We also prepare our participants for the food handlers licensing test, as well as cover the expenses of the testing.
