“Creating representation is exactly what this campaign and my platform is about. I was diagnosed with Alopecia at six months old, and all throughout my life, I’ve had a hate-hate relationship with it, until I shaved my head. I grew up in the early years of Youtube and beauty gurus, and South Asian creatives didn’t really exist then, let alone a brown creator who looked like me and shared the struggles that I faced day-today.

Fast forward to today, there are so many amazing South Asian pioneers and influencers that I am grateful for, but I still struggle to find someone to relate to. So here I am, being the representation that my younger self needed. For all those that may have yet to reach this point of acceptance and self-love, and to celebrate all parts of this journey.” —   

And that's why exists. Through this photo and video series starting with her sangeet look, we will share 's story and journey in the hopes of creating representation and a community for all those on their self-love journeys.🤎💯
