About the Position

Shalik Thorn CPAs LLP is seeking an experienced* Tax Manager *for a full-time role in the firm’s growing tax & advisory practice.

Tax Manager Responsibilities

Interact closely with clients, building and maintaining relationships and trust through quality service and timely communication
Review business and individual returns with a varying levels of complexities, including multi-state tax return
Provide tax planning and prepare tax projections throughout the year including advising clients on a range of tax strategies
Manage engagements and assigned staff
Possess technical skills and industry knowledge
Perform tax research and special projects
Provide client engagement recommendations to management
Work effectively in a team environment
Required Qualifications

CPA license
Minimum 7 years of recent CPA firm experience providing tax and accounting services to individuals, closely-held businesses, and enterprises (experience with high-net-worth individuals a plus)
Current with the latest relevant federal and state tax laws and regulations
CCH ProSystem fx Tax/Axcess, Quickbooks, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, document management and workflow system proficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technologically savvy and experienced operating in a highly digital environment using industry leading systems and processes
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CCH Engagement and BNA Income Tax Planner
Advanced degree in accounting or taxation
