I will never forget, in preschool I dressed as Cinderella. I was OBSESSED with Brandy as Cinderella. And this miserable little boy felt that he had to let me know that princesses aren’t Black. I proudly clapped back “IM THE BLACK CINDERELLA BRANDY!” 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Well… he wasn’t convinced there was such a thing 😵‍💫🫣 Obviously his parents didn’t let him watch the ABC Broadcast 🫠 I still think of that often. When I saw this Tiana dress in World of Disney I literally screamed. I’m so glad that my child won’t grow up with the fairest of them all, the Belle of the ball, etc., NEVER ever looking like her.
