Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Today is not only Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but also Dr. King’s Birthday. This year also marks the 61st anniversary of his famous “I have a dream” speech and will be the 56th anniversary of his assassination.
Today, we honor the momentous legacy Dr. King left in the path towards racial equality. To honor Dr. King’s legacy and his fight against injustice, it’s important to use today as an opportunity for reflection, growth, development, and to reaffirm our commitment to standing up against inequality everywhere.
