Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959) was one of the most influential architects in history. A visionary who believed buildings should grow from their surroundings, not be imposed upon them.

He called this philosophy organic architecture, and few works embody it more fully than the Yamamura House in Ashiya, Japan (1924): today known as the Yodoko Guest House. Built for sake brewer Kosaku Yamamura, the structure cascades down a hillside in terraced levels, its intricate concrete ornamentation inspired by Japanese aesthetics and Wright’s own geometric language.

One of only a handful of Wright-designed buildings in Japan, it stands as a testament to his belief that architecture should be inseparable from its landscape, its culture, and its time.

The Bagno di Diana at Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome is one of the most enchanting private interiors in the world. Conceived in 1840 as a gift from Prince Filippo Andrea Doria Pamphilj to his wife, the room centers around a sculptural white marble, shell-shaped bath, carved as a mythological reference to the goddess Diana.

The space is richly detailed with grotesque frescoes, allegorical motifs, and references to the four seasons. Blending Baroque theatricality with a more intimate, almost Pompeian sensibility.
