We joined our chef for an end-of-summer trip to Union Square Greenmarket—coffee first, then straight to the stalls.
Farmers call out his name as he walks by, and conversations pick up like old friends catching up.
He knows exactly where to go and what to look for. He pauses to check the snap of beans, admires trays of tomatoes, and fills his bags with what will later shape our menu.
