Garage(land) - coming at the end of this month!

For those of you who are more eager to accumulate collectibles than to get rid of them, the Garage(land) sale is just weeks away. We’ve got mountains of cheap, cool stuff and some less cheap one-of-a-kind items that’ll make your jaw drop. Books, fliers, records, zines, cassettes, clothes, art, probably a guitar or two, and a mountain of other things!

Come join in on this large community-wide garage sale to celebrate our culture while raising funds to finish equipping our new building with everything it needs to function the way we all want it to! Help us recycle the ephemera from yesterday's underground order to build a strong, vibrant culture for future generations to enjoy.

All proceeds benefit ABC No Rio to go towards our rebuilding - from the (under)ground up!!

When: Sat, 02.28 + Sun 03.01.
Time: 12-4pm
Address: University Settlement, 184 Eldridge St (2nd floor - accessible via elevator)

For those still interested in donating items...see the 2nd flyer, and get in touch with us (DM or [email protected])

Thanks to *t for the flier!

We are bowled over with the support we've received for this sale. Our community is a special one...and damn do they have cool things! We've got original Black Flag, Born Against and Avail flyers; Green Day setlists from 1990; sought-after political zines from the 80/90s leftist social movements; rare punk records; Kojak the board game; and tons of flyers, shirts books, CDs, and tapes from the gamut of underground and DIY music! Also, some mainstream stuff too.

It's gonna be a very fun weekend! Thanks to all of you who have and will donate, and to our amazing volunteers running it.

Flyer for the actual sale coming out soon, too. Please repost!

Huge thanks to Partners and Son for supporting us!

Here's some more awesome donations of ephemera that arrived this week for the Garageland sale:

1. A Green Day set list from Pony Express Pizza in Redwood City in 1990 is just one of the many cool things we've had donated to the sale.
2. A whole bunch of detritus like ticket stubs, demo tapes, and zines.
3. Bluestockings may be gone, but you can get Redstockings, an awesome second-wave feminist manifesto.
4. We got a stack of donated Fifth Estate - Detroit's longtime underground paper.
5. Women for Peace poster circa 1967.

Every week, we are going to be posting some of the items that will be featured in our weekend community sale! So far we've had bands from New York's current and past underground scenes give us tubs of merch, artists give us original prints, and book publishers give us stacks of books! It's going to be a fun weekend.

AND we are still accepting donations! If you have any items you'd like to donate, you can DM us or email us at [email protected].

And for those looking to buy cool items, our sale will take place on the weekend of 02/28 and 03/01 at University Settlement (184 Eldridge St, NY NY). More details to follow.
