Kandy & Larry Levasseur were desperate to help their daughter Rachel. They decided to keep her in a specialized mental health care facility even though they knew the program wouldn’t take insurance. (They’re called “self pay” residential treatment programs). The daily rate? $3300.
Here’s the thing- they say this was the first treatment program in 8 years that was truly working for her. They believe she wouldn’t be alive without these practitioners & a specialized treatment plan.
They hoped they’d work out a deal for coverage but now find themselves more than a million dollars in debt.
