An important discussion at a critical moment.

Strengthening cybersecurity is no longer just about defending networks as AI capabilities become more accessible, it also requires understanding how rapidly AI itself is evolving, how it is being adopted, and where new capabilities may introduce opportunities or risks.

Particularly looking forward to Yacine Jernite's perspective from Hugging Face as observations from the open-source AI community can provide valuable real-world insight into how frontier models and tools are actually developing and being used, complementing the policy, diplomatic, and operational perspectives represented on the panel.

Following the discussion and seeing how initiatives like INTAiC help strengthen international cooperation at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and digital trust.

Our featured contribution, "Strengthening Public Sector AI Governance Capacity Using Policy-Aware AI Agents," has been published as Use Case No. 30 in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) AI for Good Innovate for Impact Interim Report 2026.

The use case explores how AI can help governments and public institutions interpret, compare, and operationalize governance frameworks while strengthening transparency, consistency, and public trust.

As governments worldwide accelerate AI adoption, effective governance must evolve alongside technological innovation.

AI should not only help deliver public services, it should also help policymakers understand, evaluate, and implement governance frameworks in ways that are transparent, explainable, and aligned with the public interest.

Building trustworthy AI requires more than capable models. It requires governance systems that are understandable, auditable, and adaptable to evolving policy priorities.

We believe policy aware AI can help bridge the gap between governance principles and their practical implementation, enabling more informed and trustworthy public sector decision-making.

Cyber Institute is pleased to announce that this July at UN Geneva, our Executive Director Andrew Vance, PhD, will be speaking at AI for Good Global Summit 2026 during ITU Kaleidoscope and co-convening a session at WSIS Forum 2026.

At AI for Good, Dr. Vance will present his Best Paper Award nominated research during ITUs AI and Frontier Technologies for Good conference. His paper, "Comparative Analysis of Interpretive Divergence in Externally and Regionally Trained Language Models", examines how different AI systems interpret the same governance frameworks and explores the implications for transparency, trust, cultural sovereignty, public confidence, and public-sector implementation.

At WSIS Process Forum 2026, he will co-convene Session 280, "Applying Responsible AI Governance Under WSIS+20: Strengthening Capacity, Ethics, and International Cooperation", bringing together stakeholders from government, international organizations, academia, industry, and civil society to explore practical approaches to AI governance and implementation.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into public administration and decision-making, governance challenges extend beyond technical infrastructure. Building trustworthy, transparent, and culturally informed approaches to AI implementation will be essential to maintaining public trust and realizing the benefits of emerging technologies.

If you will be attending AI for Good, WSIS Forum, or related Geneva events, we would be delighted for you to connect with us. We invite you to join us for our Kaleidoscope presentation and WSIS Session 280 workshop.

New Trends in Disruptive Technologies, Tech Ethics and Artificial Intelligence 06/17/2026

Building trusted futures requires more than technological innovation, it requires the ability to evaluate how emerging technologies align with governance objectives, societal values, and public trust.

This July, Springer Nature will publish our research, "Hybrid Multi-LLM and Quantum-Assisted Architecture for Trustworthy and Ethical AI Evaluation", in New Trends in Disruptive Technologies, Tech Ethics and Artificial Intelligence, part of the Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing (AISC) book series. Our work examines how a multi-model AI system leveraging quantum-enabled methods can support more transparent, explainable, and trustworthy approaches to evaluating AI governance frameworks and emerging technology policies.

The research extends our work on GUARDIAN, demonstrating how AI and quantum-enabled tools can help organizations move from policy intentions to meaningful implementation while strengthening future trust, transparency, and accountability.

Follow us to learn more and be notified when the publication becomes available.

New Trends in Disruptive Technologies, Tech Ethics and Artificial Intelligence This book includes recent research on disruptive technologies, tech ethics, and artificial intelligence and presents the proceedings of DiTTEt 2021
