Manney doesn't know his time has run out.

He's a 6-year-old Dogo Argentino mix who has been sitting in the shelter since June 12, watching people walk past his kennel every day. Now his life has a deadline.

Despite his size (113 pounds), Manney is a true gentleman. He walks beautifully on leash, knows sit and shake, takes treats with the gentlest mouth, and absolutely melts for ear scratches. Volunteers describe him as an affectionate, easygoing boy who simply wants to be with people.

The shelter recommends Manney as an only dog based on his shelter temperament assessment. It's important to remember that shelter behavior evaluations are conducted in an incredibly stressful environment, and many dogs behave very differently once they're out of the noise and confinement.
