“Key in door” urgency and incontinence…
is the phenomenon of suddenly needing to empty your bladder upon arriving home
if your runway time to make it to the bathroom is getting shorter, you can get ahead of it before it becomes more problematic (large leaks)
Pelvic PT is the solve! (and yes, you can use our bathroom to empty your bladder before visits!)

Fascia, our full body connective network…
It helps transmit force across the body, supports organs, contains nerve fibers helping the body register pain and feel movement, and allows muscles to glide properly.
Headache? Back ache? Stiff joints? Endometriosis? C-section scar? Pregnant? All will impact your fascia and physical therapy can help.

Traveling this holiday season?
Here’s some things to remember if you’re experiencing pain or pelvic floor issues:
- stay hydrated (drink extra water and even more when consuming alcohol)
- keep moving (you’ll be seated on your flight, avoid sitting in the terminal before boarding)
- minimize your stress response (expect delays and use deep breathing techniques to keep calm and relax tight muscles)
- plan your movement (get in time to exercise and do your PT routine, you’ll feel better!)
- listen to your body’s cues to empty your bladder and bowels (even if on a plane). Delaying can lead to constipation and difficulty emptying.
- Lastly, enjoy your time with loved ones! 💗

The rib cage…
Often an overlooked connection when addressing pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain and neck pain. It’s where your diaphragm anchors, links to your thoracic spine and is an integral part of controlling intra-abdominal pressure. It’s also the location of our solar plexus, associated with self-confidence and personal power. The ribs are greatly affected by pregnancy and require specific focus when restoring core strength.
