On Saturday, March 14 at 12:30 pm we invite you to the opening of The Silence of the Rose, by R. H. Guillener, artistic name of Rafael Herrera Guillen, at the Cristobal Gabarron Museum.

This is the artist’s first exhibition in Murcia and marks an important moment in his career. In this project, painting functions as a space for reflection constructed through the image. The square, as a recurring figure and constructive principle throughout the series, acts as both frame and measure: a defined space in which the entire energy of the work is concentrated.

Today, in , we share 'Lucerno 5' (1991), oil and pigment on canvas by Cristobal Gabarron, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year and the celebration of the Year of the Horse.

In this work, Gabarron presents a rider and a horse in full motion. The figure is constructed through planes of color and dynamic lines that fragment the body while simultaneously intensifying the sense of forward movement. Ochre, blue, and green tones interact across a surface where material and gesture reinforce the energy of the scene.

The horse, a universal symbol of strength, drive, and freedom, takes on a special meaning here. It is not merely a represented animal, but a metaphor for progress and vision for the future.
