Day 4
New day and all went well! Started putting on the ruffles and they look fine! Made the pattern smaller and managed to eke out every thing w the fabric at hand. Ready for my fitting, fingers crossed!🙂

The worst!! The fabric store didn’t have enough fabric and couldn’t find the other bolt. Didn’t get to the studio until noon. Spent a long time shortening/straightening the black skirt against the red, trimming it, Perl edging it...Pinned some ruffles on trying to duplicate the placement.
Wow. Why is the black suddenly too long on one side and too short on the other? Why do the ruffles look awful and not even the right shape?
At times like this, you have to walk away and start again fresh in the morning. Tomorrow will be better. It has to be. Tick tick.😒
