The IRS recently issued final regs involving the penalty individuals must pay if they don't maintain minimum health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). We shared this information with you in June, but with the deadline quickly approaching we thought it was worth sharing it again. Beginning October 1, 2013, employers must provide employees written notice of the health coverage it offers along with an explanation of the new coverage options as per the new Affordable Care Act.
