A very special post as we're also kicking off our Pack Challenge campaign today! All of these happy families wouldn't have been possible without the ongoing support of our community. If you enjoy these posts each week, consider taking a moment to visit give.muddypawsrescue.org/packchallenge to donate, or create a fundraising page of your own!
We're back at Petco USQ on Saturday with pups AND a special Bake Sale! Swing by for delicious treats (for both dogs and humans) - your donation directly supports the Pack Challenge, celebrating 10,000 lives saved over the past 10 years.

This week was a tough one for our team, as we said goodbye to Alessa.
When we learned of Alessa from , we knew that she was going to require ongoing medical care but her hopeful eyes and bright smile had us saying 'of course we'll take her'. She stole the hearts of everyone who met her at HQ when she came in for visits with our vet team, despite the pain she must have been feeling she never let it show. Alessa loved peanut butter and going for rides in her pink wagon.
We are beyond grateful to our friends at - their support made it possible for us to skip over the part when we question if the funding is there to do every test, procedure, follow-up and medication. Believe us, Alessa got it all, but ultimately, it wasn't enough.
Alessa was Alyssa's first foster, and she was there for her every step of the way. When it became clear to us that the kindest thing was to say goodbye - Alyssa became Alessa's last foster and first forever family. Her dedication was unwavering and their bond was clear.
We wish we could have had more time with Alessa, but are grateful she is now pain-free and knew what love was. Until we meet again sweet girl 🌈

"Hi my name is Elli and I am 9 years old. I love animals and I wanted to figure out how to help them. I read some books and a lot of them suggested donating to an Animal Shelter, so with the help of my sister Ariya, we decided to create Bracelets and Buddies. We made and sold bracelets and dog collars and then used all of the money to buy supplies to donate to your shelter."
We love hearing dedicated kids who love dogs as much as we do! Thank you Elli and Ariya for your adorable dedication to helping animals. The future is bright because of kids like you! (Please note the home-made skirt, just trust us)
