We’re thrilled to announce The Weather Channel, a new instrumental album from Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer, arriving July 17 on LP, CD, and digital formats.

Rooted in jazz with elements of fusion, dub, and punk, the album features Jenifer alongside John Medeski, Ben Perowsky, Karma “Chogyi” Marco, plus appearances from Jack DeJohnette, Karl Berger, and more.

The first single, “Sacred Love II,” a reimagining of the Bad Brains classic, is streaming everywhere now, alongside a limited 7" backed with “F.A.L.S.” from Jenifer’s new punk project Palm Beach.

Recorded live at the B10 Festival in Shenzhen, China, the album captures an exhilarating hour-long performance driven by deep improvisation and the duo’s intuitive connection. Ho**er’s thunderous drumming meets King’s searing guitar work in a set that moves fluidly between intensity and restraint.

The CD and digital editions include three bonus performances not available on the vinyl release.
