Brick in Architecture Award Winner 🏆
Rising 23 stories in Midtown East, reinterprets New York’s masonry legacy through a warm gray brick façade defined by strong vertical articulation and sculpted massing. A single custom chamfered brick unit was used to create woven patterns, corbelled detailing, and layered texture throughout — from recessed window bays to the intricately shaped entry.
The precision of the hand-laid installation brings depth and shadow to the façade, while stepped terraces, balconies, and green roofs introduce a human scale to the streetscape. The result is a building that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary — rooted in craft, materiality, and the enduring strength of brick.

The Matteo is one of those buildings that stops you in your tracks—proof that brick can be both deeply contextual and unmistakably modern. Rising on the Upper East Side, this striking residential tower takes the neighborhood’s masonry DNA and gives it a bold, contemporary edge through a rich dark brick palette, custom detailing, and beautifully carved window recesses that add depth, shadow, and character at every level.
Huge congratulations to an incredible project team for a well-deserved Brick in Architecture Bronze Award 👏

Claremont Hall is a standout example of how can deliver tower-scale presence while still feeling grounded in its historic context 🏆
Rising 41 stories from the Union Theological Seminary campus at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights, this mixed-use building blends new residential living with the academic fabric of the neighborhood. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Claremont Hall’s stone-and-brick exterior intentionally echoes the Collegiate Gothic character of the surrounding campus while translating it into a refined, contemporary high-rise expression. The result is a façade with depth, texture, and long-term performance—proof that thin brick can be both contextual and elevated at a landmark scale.

Honored to share that Amant has been awarded Best in Class – Commercial at the 2025 Brick in Architecture Awards by the 🏆
Located in North Brooklyn’s evolving industrial landscape, Amant’s Gallery & Café at 345 Maujer Street uses brick in a beautifully unconventional way—rotated out of plane, fluted, stacked, and textured—to echo the grit of its surroundings while revealing remarkable depth, tactility, and craft up close. From afar, the buildings feel familiar and industrial; on approach, the brickwork surprises, blurring the line between exterior and interior, noise and quiet, city and art. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this exceptional project to life. 💫
