The notion that it is hard out here for a man is a misguided belief that I did not impart to my sons, who are now grown men. Both men and women face equal challenges in life. Instead of telling children that it is hard to achieve something, I taught my sons to focus on building their own lives and not to rely on others. When my son turned 18, I encouraged him to get his own apartment and he did so without any complaints. It is essential to stop perpetuating the belief that it is hard out here for young men and instead, educate them to be self-reliant and confident.
