Throughout their career, a single midwife can be at the center of countless safe, healthy, and joyful births. They are everyday heroes, providing essential care, comfort and safety when it matters most.
But right now, the world is facing a critical shortage. We urgently need 1 million MORE midwives globally.
🎥 We caught up with midwives from across the globe to hear what drives their passion and why their work is so vital.
Bringing together the voices and experiences of more than 100,000 young people across 73 countries, UNFPA’s new demographic survey reveals that they deeply value partnership and parenthood. For them to be able to build the families they want and follow their dreams, the economic and housing barriers they face must be addressed.
The future is not set in stone. It is decided by the opportunities we create for the next generation.

We asked 100,000+ young people around the world about relationships and 60% said they want to get married.
While the journey may differ across cultures and individuals, the desire for love, commitment and partnership remains strong.
