After more than a decade in New York City, it is with a somber mind that we transition from a hair style institution to the harbinger of bad news and announce the closure of Ion Studios NYC.

Ion Studios functioned as a hub for a community in the pursuit of beauty and interconnectivity. Never will we forget the journey we had together. A journey which would never have been possible if it hadn’t been for our fantastic colleagues, coworkers and and unforgettable clients.

We are eternally grateful for the privileged experience sharing moments in those defining years of our history.

Thank you for everyone presence in our story.

Precision razoring is my favorite way to cut! I LOVE cutting each individual hair by hair w the straight edge blade on the first very vertical sections of a graduation from the center. We have done many diff shapes on this lady but usually return to short graduation through sides n back w a long disconnection layered from the back through to the fringe area. I used many spritzes of the volu spray and my hands to style this no brushes or irons and no finishing spray either
