Partners for Progressive Israel is pleased to welcome Iky Salinas as its new Executive Director!
With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, Israeli politics, and Israeli-Palestinian peacebuilding, Iky brings a deep commitment to advancing equality, democracy, and lasting peace.
"I am deeply honored to join Partners for Progressive Israel at this pivotal moment," said Iky Salinas. "PPI can be a home for all those who believe Israelis and Palestinians alike deserve equality, justice, and the opportunity to live in peace. I look forward to working alongside our members, partners, and supporters to strengthen progressive voices, support civil society, and help build a more peaceful, democratic, and equitable future for all."
As we begin this new chapter, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rabbi Margo Hughes-Robinson for her dedicated leadership over the past two years.
To celebrate this exciting new chapter, every donation made will be tripled through our 2:1 Matching Grant Campaign, helping strengthen PPI's work for democracy, equality, and peace.

We're seeing initial news reports that Ben-Gvir has scrapped his trip to the US. If so, the planned protests might have deterred him and forced the about-face. But please watch this space for updates and additional info regarding the protest rally.
Our VP, Karen Shapiro, stated as follows ahead of the apparent cancellation: "Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's participation in the United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit devoted to 'strengthening international peace, security, and development for all' makes a mockery of those valued ideals. Ben-Gvir has abused his ministerial role to promote a blatant policy of Jewish supremacy. He is destroying Israeli democracy and weaponizing the police against the citizens he is supposed to serve. There is no justification for Ben-Gvir to take part in the 'Investing in Peace' conference."
