Our Story
Monte Sur grew out of a need that working families faced when searching for a play-based, Spanish immersion, affordable and quality education.
Founded in 2017 with the support of a determined group of families living in the Mott Haven, South Bronx community. The learning space is spearheaded by head teacher Coral Nogueras Ortiz; a proud mother and educator with more than 10 years of teaching experience in the elementary school, early childhood education and, more than 5 years of Montessori training in early childhood education.
