Our Story

We study identity-related exclusion from social protections, resources, and opportunities. In particular, we focus on race, social class, and their intersections. We bring a multiplicity of methods to bear on these topics:

* We do participatory action research (PAR) in New York communities and beyond
* We do youth participatory action research (YPAR) in NYC high schools, middle schools, and other organizations
* We conduct quantitative research
* We conduct qualitative research
* We publish conceptual and theoretical analyses
* We present at conferences and other events
* We partner with community-based and other organizations to learn from their work, support local wellness-related projects, and build capacity
* We imagine and create real-world applications of inclusive psychological research and practice
