Flower Making Fun 🌸🌺🌹
We recently welcomed a great group of Bronxville High School seniors to M&S Schmalberg through , , and for a behind-the-scenes look at the last remaining fabric flower factory in America.
The group got to see how our flowers are still handmade using vintage tools and techniques dating back generations and even tried a bit of flower making themselves.
There is always something special about introducing young people to a craft that has been alive here in New York since 1916.

M&S Schmalberg, Artificial flower maker in New York, NY, USA, presented by Homo Faber M&S Schmalberg was founded by brothers Morris and Sam Schmalberg who left Poland to pursue the American Dream, and is now owned and operated by third and fourth generation artisans Warren and Adam Brand
Working on a dress for the Texas Rose Festival. Each leaf is cut, pressed and then wired by hand, 2ply. This is part of a larger order, all for one special dress. 🌹
