On this day 200 years ago, three musical icons, Lorenzo da Ponte, Maria Malibran and Manuel Garcia, performed Don Giovanni for the first time in America at the long-gone Park Theatre on Park Row in lower Manhattan. 8 years ago Divaria recreated the circumstances behind this momentous event with an original operatic play.
