In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reflecting on how our surroundings support both physical and mental health. As our own Jessica Shaw puts it: “The best design is rooted in wellness. Designers and clients alike are embracing wellness as a guiding principle, thinking about the cognitive and sensory impact of their environments.”

We’ve come a long way on our Upper West Side Townhouse project, where we’ve been working meticulously to balance the iconic brownstone’s historic character with exciting modern flourishes.

To better accommodate the homeowner’s needs, we implemented a variety of finishes to cultivate a space that breathes luxury and prioritizes wellness by incorporating sustainability principles throughout. Features like triple-glazed windows and a highly advanced lighting system attuned to circadian rhythms bring a new level of comfort and well-being to the home.
