We continue our 2026 Artist preview for Echo(logies) with âWild Lotsâ
âWild Lotsâ encourages speculative thinking about the lifecycles of cities, imagining how vacant space might be returned to nature. A garden bed formed in the shape of NYC is outfitted with a customized mechanism which deposits seeds in precise locations.
Artists: Craig Fahner & A.L. Haley

Continuing on with our 2026 Artist preview for Echo(logies) here's "Desire Paths"
"Desire Paths" draws on Parks datasets to examine the ecological rhythms of movement within New York City public spaces. By mapping âdesire pathsâ, or the informal pathways formed by repeated human movement, the project explores the interplay between designed landscapes, human behavior, and the forces that erode urban ecologies over time.
Artists: Becca Ellsworth and Becca Odell

The 2026 Artist preview for Echo(logies) continues on with âThe Oracle of Gothamâ
Step right up and take your turn at the âOracle of Gotham,â a machine-medium that channels cyclical rhythms in New Yorkâs urban data to convey prophetic messages from the cityâs collective unconscious. These messages are poetic distortions of real urban cycles, reframing data-driven prediction as an exercise in attunement rather than practical forecasting, tuning us to rhythms of activity and rest, abundance and scarcity, presence and loss.
Artists: Karissa Whiting and Elizabeth Costa
